Ripon

Ripon, North Yorkshire, dates from the seventh century and has evolved into a city of charm and character. It is one of England's smallest cities, known for its historic buildings and traditional customs such as "setting the watch". This thousand year old ceremony takes place nightly at 9:00 p.m. with the blowing of the horn in Ripon Market Place.
