Ipswich

The town centre of Ipswich, located in Suffolk County, has a well-preserved historic street pattern, parts of which date back to the seventh century. A large part of the central area, the nearby Victorian housing areas and the Wet Dock area have been designated as Conservation Areas. The attractions of Ipswich include Pykenham's Gatehouse, built in 1471 and famous for its Tudor brick front. The beautiful Tudor Christchurch Mansion, built in 1548 and set in attractive parkland, is also worth a visit.
