Huddersfield, a city that developed thanks to the industrial revolution, is located on the western edge of the West Riding of Yorkshire nestled on the edge of the Pennines.
The jewel in the crown is Huddersfield's grand Victorian Railway Station, described by the poet John Betjeman as "the most splendid station facade in England".
Huddersfield's most prominent landmark is the Victoria Tower build to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria's reign. Visitors can enjoy walks around the base of the tower and see the remains of the many archaeological excavations which have taken place here.
