Dundee

Set on the banks of the River Tay, Dundee is Scotland's fourth biggest city. The vibrant, attractive and flourishing city is a main station on east coast line of the UK. It has an excellent motorway link, a thriving regional airport and is now a cruise ship port. Dundee is known as the 'City of Discovery', reflecting not only its links with Captain Scott's research ship Discovery, but the city's role as a centre of scientific research, education and tourism. Its centre is a shoppers' paradise, where major department stores co-exist with specialist shops tucked away in side streets. Dundee has several fine parks and golf courses as well as attractions such as Verdant Works, a working jute mill, art galleries, and historic castles.
