Dudley

The biggest attraction of Dudley, located in West Midlands, is the Zoo situated in the grounds of Dudley Castle. The whole family can enjoy the feudal splendour of the Castle ruins and admire one of the most diverse collections of animals in the country. The zoo covers much of Castle Hill topped by the ruins of the Keep itself. Fortifications of the castle were first built in 1071 following the Norman conquest.
Another attraction is the Black Country Museum, a living museum located close to Dudley town centre where you can see and enjoy the life in the history of England. It offers a silent cinema, drift-mine, old fairground, many period houses rebuilt on the site, a 1910s school, working trams, old pubs, shops, canal-boats, and a 1930s fish and chip shop.
