Derby, Derbyshire, is the UK's most central city, situated on the edge of Peak District National Park. The city is famous for setting in motion Britain's Industrial Revolution with first factories and spinning mills. It is also well known for later factories of Rolls Royce, the Royal Crown Derby and Railway engineering. The city centre boasts an excellent range of shops, pubs, restaurants, and parks. There are many interesting churches and buildings such as the Cathedral with its beautiful white and gold interior and the 212 feet high Medieval Tower, the second highest in England. Other attractions include the Pickford's House Museum, the industrial museum, the Derby museum and the Art Gallery with its internationally renowned Joseph Wright gallery, and the Police Memorabilia Museum.
